Today they finally caught up to me
On the floor where the light won't bend
That's just the way my hammer falls
With wounds I thought would mend
If the sun won't rise for all but them
Then we'll stray down
To the place where the god's are all but dead
Content to drown
I search for life in the blank divide
Reflections I knew so well
That's just the way my hammer falls
I felt the earth give in
I am the fear beyond the shroud
The whisper etched on the wall
That's the way my hammer falls
That's just the weight of it all
If the sun won't rise for all but them
Then we'll stray down
To the place where the god's are all but dead
Content to drown
In the end I was the same
The legend of my offering
Bled dry as a way to explain
All the dirt left in the way
Time, like a driving stake
Where nothing's changed and nothing's new
They keep the dead ones underground
Where nothing's changed and nothing's new
There's nothing's changed and nothing new
There's nothing's changed and nothing new
There's nothing's changed, nothing new

Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.
